The PHF Scholarship & Standards Program seeks to give students the tools they need to succeed by offering financial support to students who have shown commitment towards continuing their education. The scholarships all recognize extraordinary Achievement, Leadership and Talent. The requirements for awards vary from financial need to academic and achievements.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
The scholarship application period opens December 1st each year and ends February 16th of the following year. The committee selects the scholarship recipients each April.
AWARD RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
The selection of recipients is unbiased. Potential candidates will be ranked based on family income, extra-curricular activities, leadership positions both in and outside of school, volunteer/community involvement, GPA, SAT or ACT scores and essays. Scholarship funds range $1,000 to $5,000 and can only be used for qualified college expenses. Checks are written to both the recipient and their designated college or university. There is no restrictions to the location or affiliation of the institution. The institution should be a regionally accredited two/three/four year college or university. No recipient can renew his or her scholarship and each recipient can only be awarded one scholarship.
APPLICATION FORMAT AND REQUIRED CONTENTS
To apply, CLICK HERE to obtain scholarship information. All students in their senior year who are U.S. Citizens or legal permanent residents can apply. The student should have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8 on 4.0 scale and plan to enroll full-time at a regionally accredited two/three/four year institution. Students should complete the application form including information regarding Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and to include a copy of the their transcript, essay and two (2) letters of recommendation.
